WATER REPELLENCE IN EVERY DETAIL

YKK® AquaGuard® VISLON® water repellent front zip and YKK® AquaGuard® water repellent chest pocket zips.

NO MORE SNAGS

Anti-snag hem draw cords discourage snagging when harnesses and gear is worn; a problem encountered with traditional loop draw cords.

WATERPROOF, WINDPROOF, BOMBPROOF

Sheds snow, turns back rain, blocks wind and breathes.

SKJOLDR™ is a proprietary, super tough, waterproof, breathable hard shell fabric developed by Jöttnar in conjunction with leading Japanese textile scientists and fabric mills.

WRISTS SEALED

Triple reinforced stitching ensures the VELCRO™ will not detach from the garment. Hypalon® cuff tabs are harder wearing and longer lasting than fabric cuff tabs. The elasticated cinch provides the best possible seal against the elements.

Bergelmir jacket

I wish to convey my thanks to all at Jottnar, especially Tommy and Morgan, for their help in resolving the problem I had with a jacked I purchased over 3 years ago. Jottnar products may be a bit more expensive than other suppliers, but in my opinion their quality and after sales service is so exceptional it is well worth the extra amount one has to pay.

Thanks again.

Bombproof

I got this as a replacement to an Arcteryx Alpha that served me well for 6 years. Primarily for winter-mountaineering / ice climbing. Sizing is excellent, slightly longer at the back. No pit zips, but I rarely used these on the Alpha. Lift pass pocket would be nice addition, but I can live without!

Far fewer seams (points of weakness) and good notably better. I also love the slightly more robust fabric (no problems with waterproofing to report). All in a no-nonsense bombproof winter shell. Very impressed!

Quality products

Just like to say I took the bergelmir jacket and pants out to Austria Ona ski trip, probably the best hard shells I have purchased. I have had them all Arc’teryx, Norrona , mammut and I can honestly say this product is my favorite, will definitely buy from these again
Thanks

Fantastic product!!!!

I’m currently writing this review from my tent on Mount Everest. This is a vital piece of my kit that has kept me dry and protected from the wind. Fits well and folds down taking minimal space.

Orange is the new red

I found this jacket hidden away in an obscure review on the internet. I search the internet for countless hours reading about mountaineering gear, and I had never heard of Jottner till now. The jacket appears to be a great product in almost every respect. The colour of the jacket is not what I would call red. I would call it orange. This was slightly disappointing as the website photo of the jacket makes it appear to be red. This is a minor quibble, but I feel that the description of the colour as fiery red is a bit vague, and the photo of a red jacket on your website is misleading, although probably not intentionally so. I have not yet worn the jacket on the mountain or in the rain. The jacket appears to be well designed and well constructed. Delivery here in South Africa took a very long time due to the customs process, and I had to pay 45% customs duty which made the total bill extremely high.
